Peter Dodd is a Resolution trained Mediator and practising Collaborative Lawyer. This means that Peter is qualified to negotiate and navigate any tensions in family related matters whilst adopting a strategic approach to facilitate a cost effective solution to parties.
Peter regularly deals with highly-functioning neuro divergent successful clients who praise his no nonsense approach to sensible and pragmatic advice. He also has a high degree of empathy and patience assisting vulnerable parties guiding them through the whole process.
He practiced for many years as a criminal advocate and a care lawyer (acting for Guardians) and therefore understands the protection that can be afforded if necessary if the circumstances arise.
Peter studied at The University of Bristol graduating in Psychology. His degree and many years of practice have given him a unique access into the impact that the family process can affect individuals. He works with executive coaches who can assist with the various challenges that couples can face throughout the legal journey.
Peter qualified as a solicitor in 1996 having trained at HMCTS and was an equity partner at an international law firm for over 20 years before joining Raydens.
He is a Resolution accredited, having previously set up and chaired Hertfordshire Resolution and the Collaborative Law Group.
Peter specialises in:
- High value divorce involving company directors and high value asset cases (including international elements) including business assets and complex pensions
- Children Act matters including relocation (internally and externally)
- TOLATA and Schedule 1 Children Act proceedings
- Personal and private protection including civil Non molestation and Occupation orders and supporting criminal actions including Private Prosecutions for stalking/harassment
- Advising Court of Protection Solicitors with protecting assets and private law matters
