Rayden Solicitors has been recognised as Family Law Firm of the Year – South at this year’s Family Law Awards. After being founded in a small Hertfordshire village nearly twenty years ago, the firm has grown to the second largest Family Law team in England and Wales with nine offices across the South of England, as well as two offices in London and another in Birmingham.
In addition to winning the ‘Family Law Firm of the Year – South’ award, the firm was also finalist in three other categories – one of only three law firms in the country to be shortlisted in this many categories.
Legal Director Marc Etherington was Highly Commended in the ‘Family Law Commentator of the Year’ category. Marc currently sits on Resolution’s Wellbeing Committee and is dedicated in promoting transparency around mental health and wellbeing in the Family Law community, often utilising his significant social media following and posting regularly on LinkedIn and TikTok.
The firm was also a finalist in the ‘Family Law Case of the Year’ category. Legal Director Jennifer Moore acted in a ground-breaking Human Rights Act decision in a step-parent adoption case before the President of the Family Law Division at the Royal Courts of Justice. The Judgement passed by the President now paves the way for future step-parent adoptions by widows or widowers.
Our expertise at all levels is also recognised, with Associate Solicitor Rebekah Norman a finalist in the ‘Family Law Young Solicitor of the Year’ category. Rebekah’s work ethic, client care and knowledge in the law was commended by her industry peers, with a leading barrister describing Rebekah as ‘a formidable and intuitive lawyer with a huge work ethic and a compassionate nature’.
Senior Partner Katherine Rayden attended the awards and said, ‘we are delighted to be recognised as one of the leading family law firms in England and Wales. This award is testament to the brilliant work undertaken by the whole business and the team’s commitment to excellence. We are also so pleased for Marc, Jennifer and Rebekah for being finalists in their respective categories. This recognition is very highly deserved and they are a credit to the firm’.
