Beth Kivelä

Associate Solicitor

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for everything you and your colleagues have done for me in the last few months. At times along the way, it’s been very stressful but your support, guidance and expertise have been invaluable.

Client of Beth

Beth assists across a range of private family law matters including divorce, financial claims that arise on divorce, children matters and pre-nuptial agreements. Beth has strong, longstanding links with the Anglo-Nordic community and she is experienced in advising on cross-border family law matters.

Beth prides herself on her ability to form strong client relationships and help clients to focus on and achieve their objectives. Beth endeavours to reach a resolution for her clients in a cost-effective and, wherever possible, non-confrontational manner. Beth is sensitive to the stress and anxiety that can be brought on by a relationship breakdown, and she aims to provide her clients with clear and pragmatic advice from the outset.

Beth graduated from the University of Leeds in 2012 with first class honours in Law. Beth was awarded a distinction in the Legal Practice Course at the University of Hertfordshire, achieving the highest mark in the county. She joined Rayden Solicitors as a specialist family law solicitor upon qualification in March 2018.

Outside of work, Beth attends Finnish school (St Albansin suomikoulu) where she studies the Finnish language. She enjoys travelling to and spending time in Finland with her young family.

Beth is a member of Resolution.

I especially wanted to tell you how amazing Beth was. She showed incredible empathy, listened to my ranting, and never strayed from being professional yet supportive. I thought the statement she wrote on my behalf was incredibly well written. Throughout my dealings with her, she was always honest, always managed my expectations with regards to what the outcome might have been, but perhaps more importantly, I felt she genuinely understood me & I never felt judged. I feel I can trust her implicitly. She made the whole experience less painful than it might otherwise have been.

Many thanks to you for acting for me in this matter. It’s such a sad thing to have to go through but I’ve always been appreciative of how good the service has been, which has made it more humane and easier.

Client of Beth

You’ve helped me immensely through this ordeal and have made me see things from a pragmatic stand point which I do struggle with so thank you.

Client of Beth

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your support and hard work on my case. I had originally contemplated doing it on my own but I would not have done myself any justice without your help and support throughout the process. Particularly as my circumstances were complicated.

Client of Beth

Thank you so much again – really appreciate the support. A good conclusion indeed.

Working with you is great. You are calm, empathetic, good-humoured and well-organised. What more could a barrister ask for?
