Rory Laide is a specialist family law solicitor with experience in all aspects of divorce, separation, and financial settlements. Rory further advises on children matters particularly those relating to child arrangements, welfare concerns, and relocations. Rory is a key point of contact for the UK’s Anglo-Irish community for advice and support relating to cross-border international divorce and family law matters. He has developed an in-depth knowledge relating to same-sex relationships, including cohabitation, relationship breakdowns, or property disputes.

Rory is a member of Resolution holding the specialist accreditation in both financial remedy and children matters. This ensures Rory places client care at the forefront when conducting his cases in a collaborative legal manner; he is known for his excellent communication ensuring the client’s position is conveyed both sensitively and firmly to the other parties. Rory is also an accredited advanced family panel member with the Law Society.

Rory graduated from National University of Ireland, Galway with degrees in business and law. Following his professional law exams, Rory trained and qualified as both a family & criminal solicitor at a Legal 500 firm in London before focusing exclusively on family law at a boutique family law firm in the city, predominantly conducting complex financial remedy matters often with an international element. He is currently researching a dissertation relating to Anglo-Irish family law in advance of undertaking a Master of Laws (LLM).
