We are looking for an ambitious family law Solicitor to join our newly formed, close-knit Salisbury team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning team and continue your family law career, alongside industry leading family law specialists.

The Role

  • You will assist a Partner and Legal Director with their varied family law caseload and, subject to experience, be taking active steps to build your own caseload.
  • You will play an active role in business development and support the Partner and Legal Director in their marketing efforts to establish a new family law offering in the central South.
  • You will be expected to be an ambassador of the firm and work with the team to promote Rayden Solicitors as well as your own professional practice both at internal and external events and should be comfortable doing so.
  • You will be required to keep up to date with changes in the law and on top of your own continued professional development, supported by the Salisbury senior leadership team.

Requirements

  • You will have trained and practiced in a highly regarded family law department.
  • You will have specialised post-qualification experience in private family law that will include:
    • Divorce and separation;
    • Financial remedy proceedings; and
    • Private Children Act applications.
  • Ideally, you will also have experience of:
    • Pre-nuptial agreements; Emergency injunctions; and
    • Cohabitation work to include cohabitation agreements, Schedule 1 applications and TOLATA applications.
  • You will have strong written and spoken communication skills, enabling you to communicate complex law and advice with clarity.
  • You will have experience of supporting senior fee earners with all aspects of their work.
  • You will be a strong team player and have a can-do attitude.
  • You will have excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Experience of managing your own caseload is desirable but not essential.
  • Advocacy experience is also an advantage.
