Rayden Solicitors – your legal career starts here
At Rayden Solicitors, we offer a range of opportunities to support you from your very first step in law through to qualification. Whether you are exploring the idea of a career in law after you leave school, are an undergraduate or recent graduate looking for practical work experience, or aiming for a training contract, we provide clear routes for growth and development.

Work Experience (Ages 16 -18) – School Summer Holidays
In 2026, we shall be offering a one-week work experience placement for 16-18 year olds during the school summer holidays. This short placement will give 16+ sixth form and college students the chance to experience life in a busy family law practice, and to appreciate a law firm’s wider operations, from business development to financial management.
- Applications open in spring each year and further information will be advertised here
- Placements are limited and highly sought after, so early application is advised
- Participating office locations will be advertised when applications open
- Please note we are no longer accepting direct applications for work experience for young people aged under 16
- Our individual offices partner with local schools from time to time to offer other work experience opportunities, these will be advertised by the schools in question
Summer Vacation Scheme 2026 – Undergraduates & Recent Graduates
New for 2026! Our vacation scheme offers undergraduates and recent graduates the chance to immerse themselves in family law. You will work alongside our lawyers, attend training sessions, and experience our culture first-hand. Where appropriate opportunities arise, you will be able to attend court hearings or client meetings.
- When: 29 June 2026 – 3 July 2026
- Applications open: Early 2026 (details will be published here)
- Who can apply: Undergraduate students and recent graduates from any discipline with a strong interest in family law
- Participating office locations will be advertised when applications open
Paralegal Opportunities (year-round)
We recruit paralegals throughout the year across our offices as and when vacancies arise, but most commonly for a late summer/early Autumn start. These roles provide excellent exposure to family law and are a valuable step for many people on the journey to qualification.
- Vacancies are advertised on this page. Please keep an eye on the website for live opportunities, which will usually be for a 12 month contract
- Paralegals gain responsibility from day one, and valuable insight into family law practice
- We welcome applications from graduates who have a real interest and desire to work in family law
- Many of our paralegals progress to training contracts with us, and are well placed as internal candidates. However, please note we also welcome strong external applicants for our training contract applications
