Employee testimonials – Recruitment process & joining Rayden Solicitors

The recruitment process at Rayden Solicitors was exceptionally supportive and professional.

When I applied for a Paralegal position through the Rayden Career page, I noticed how informative and efficient the process was from the very beginning.

From Day 1 I was warmly welcomed, helped with all the set up and was assigned a buddy who was by my side to help with any questions I had.

Emily Sabatino, Paralegal – Read Emily’s full account here.

The recruitment process was smooth, and every step was designed to ensure that the firm and I were a good fit for each other. I received full information about the role as a member of the team and as a wider ambassador of the firm. The process was well organised and I was kept up to date as to what would happen next.

On starting at Rayden Solicitors I immediately felt welcomed by the team. There was plenty of support available for training and learning the new systems, meaning it was easy to settle in quickly. I had regular catch-ups scheduled with my line manager and other members of the team which really helped me feel established in the new role.

Rebekah Norman, Solicitor

The recruitment process with Rayden’s was very positive, I met or communicated with a number of different partners and other members of the team.

This was very reassuring and I felt I understood the firm and the role for which I was recruited.

Charlotte Southworth, Legal Director

Recruitment FAQs

How many interviews will there be during the recruitment process?

Depending upon the role for which you are applying you may have up to 3 interviews. For most Fee Earning positions there will be a 3 stage interview process; for Business Operations positions it is likely to be a 2 stage process, occasionally a 3rd interview if necessary.

Will interviews be held in person or conducted remotely?

We usually conduct the first interview remotely, and then subsequent interviews would be held in person whenever possible.

Who conducts the interviews?

The first interview will be conducted by the HR department, and subsequent interviews will be conducted by relevant personnel eg. if the role is a Fee Earning position you will be interviewed by senior solicitors and Partners; and if the role is a Business Operations role you will be interviewed by the relevant department lead. In the case of Personal Assistant positions, you would be interviewed by relevant Fee Earners with whom you are likely to be working.

Will there be an assessment or test during the interview process?

Depending upon the role, yes there will be an assessment or test of your technical ability or knowledge required for the position. This will usually take place at the second interview stage.

Can you choose where you work?

When we advertise job positions we identify where that position will be based, so in effect you can apply for positions in the location that you are specifically interested in.

What if there isn’t a vacancy in a relevant role or location?

We always accept speculative applications so, even if there does not appear to be a job vacancy in the role or location that you are interested in, you can still send your CV through to us at careers@raydensolicitors.co.uk.
