Jade

Paralegal

Jade graduated in 2021 from the University of Sussex with a degree in Law with American Studies. Jade wrote her American Studies Dissertation on a family law topic – ‘Common Law Marriage: Detriments faced by couples due to the desire to preserve the institution of marriage.’

Jade also volunteers with The Children’s Society as a Volunteer Speaker to advocate for improving children’s welfare.

First hand, personal experience of family law proceedings led Jade to develop an interest in this diverse area of law. During her undergraduate studies, Jade was an active committee member of the University’s Law Society. She also took part in Client Interviewing, where she advised a client on a neighbour dispute and gained an understanding of the importance of incorporating empathy into a client interaction.

More recently, Jade undertook work experience with Brighton and Hove City Council, where she virtually attended court regarding child arrangements, which expanded her knowledge of the factors a judge will consider regarding a child’s best interests.

Jade, who is based in our St Albans office, joined Rayden Solicitors as a paralegal in August 2021.
