Helen Lafferty advises on all areas of Family Law. Helen prides herself on her client care, particularly for vulnerable clients. Helen regularly advises parents in both divorce and financial proceedings, and Children Act proceedings.

Helen has experience dealing with urgent applications including protective injunctions for victims of domestic violence, as well as prohibited steps orders and specific issue orders.

Helen graduated from the University of Kent in 2014 with an upper second class honours in Law. Whilst at university, Helen represented the University of Kent in the national and international mediation competitions in London, Belfast and Chicago. Helen then stayed on at the University of Kent to achieve a first class honours in her masters in International Law. In 2017 Helen achieved a distinction in her LPC at the University of Law in Guildford.

Prior to commencing her training contract, Helen worked at a niche legal aid firm specialising in cases relating to domestic violence, children and care matters. Helen then completed her training contract at a Thames Valley based Legal 500 and Chambers ranked firm, where she undertook seats in family, commercial law and private client work. Helen joined Rayden Solicitors as a specialist family law solicitor in September 2019 upon qualification.

Helen is a member of Resolution which is an organisation of family lawyers who are dedicated to resolving family matters in a constructive and non-confrontational way.
