Totally immersed in what we do. We live and breathe family law

David has over thirty years’ experience as a specialist family lawyer, having worked with leading practitioners in the field in both specialist family law firms and departments.  He has worked at Partner level for more than two decades and has been at the forefront of complex family law issues, including matters involving substantial, overseas or alleged undisclosed assets.

David has been a pioneer in the field of family law in the use of arbitration, litigation funding, disclosure against non-parties, legal costs and enforcement.

In addition to David’s experience in complex financial matters arising from divorce and separation, David also undertakes work relating to children disputes between parents, pre-nuptial agreements and living together agreements (often with an international dimension).

David’s clients are from all walks of life, including professionals, other lawyers, entrepreneurs, individuals in financial services, entertainment and sporting artists and from both national and international jurisdictions.

David has had several reported cases and in recent years obtained what was, at the time, the highest court awarded financial order for his client.  The case established several legal principles, involved seven different jurisdictions and became the subject of a legal textbook authored by leading and junior counsel in the case.

David is a Governor At Large of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL) and has presented at IAFL annual conferences. David is also a member of Resolution.

David joined Rayden Solicitors in April 2021 from Mishcon de Reya where he had been a Partner in the Family Department since 2008.
